Every promo code, tested at checkout

Chase Now finds the coupon field, tries the codes that actually work on that store, and keeps the one that moves the real order total. Then it tells you which card to pay with.

Code chasing

Codes that work, proved on your cart

Coupon sites are full of codes that expired in 2023. Chase Now settles the argument the only way that counts: by typing each one into the store you are actually on and watching what the total does.

One code at a time, never a shotgun blast

Chase Now submits a single candidate, waits for the cart to settle, records the result, and only then tries the next one. Attempts are capped (8 by default, 1.2 seconds apart) so a storefront never sees a burst of invalid codes.

Finds the coupon field

Works on the field, not a hard-coded list of stores, including carts rendered inside iframes.

Judged on the real total

A code counts when the order total drops, when a new success message names that exact code, or when a new discount chip naming it appears. One that changes nothing is marked failed.

Remembers per store

Codes are stored against the merchant domain with their status (works, failed or unknown) and a timestamp.

Polite by design

Bounded budget, 9-second settle timeout, and a stop button that takes the code Chase Now applied back off the cart.

The honest part

A live log you can argue with

The in-page HUD shows every attempt as it happens: the code, the status, and the total before and after. Nothing is hidden behind a spinner, and one click stops the run and restores the cart exactly as you left it.

works failed unknown retried after 21 days
The Chase Now in-page HUD: testing code 6 of 8, a progress bar, a log of attempts with the order total before and after each one, and the best code so far saving $18.40.
Card picker

Then it names the card to pay with

Finding the discount is half the job. The other half is not paying a $229.60 apparel order with a 1x points card while a 2% flat card and an activated 12% Chase Offer sit unused.

Your wallet, ranked in dollars

Every card you added is scored against the detected cart total, so you compare $30.99 with $4.59 instead of “1.5% plus an offer” with “2% flat”.

Card-linked offers finally get counted

Record the bank offers you activated (percent or fixed, with cap, minimum spend and expiry) and Chase Now folds them into the ranking when the merchant matches and the offer is still live.

Knows what kind of store you are on

A bundled domain map covers the big catalogues across twelve categories (groceries, dining & delivery, travel, transit, streaming, drugstores and more), then falls back to keyword heuristics for the long tail.

The wallet manager: four cards with issuer, reward summary and last four digits, above a list of recorded bank offers with their caps, minimum spend and expiry.

Bring your own card, or use the bundled catalog

Eighteen cards ship with reward defaults: seventeen consumer, one small-business. Earn rates change, so every card is editable and you can add a fully custom one with your own multipliers.

Cards & issuers

Works with the cards you already carry

Eighteen US consumer cards across ten issuers ship with their reward rates already filled in. Pick yours, or add a custom card with your own multipliers. Earn rates change, so every rate is editable.

A shopping extension that never phones home

The business model for most coupon extensions is your browsing history and a rewritten affiliate link. Chase Now has neither: there is no backend to send anything to, and you can verify that in the network tab.

There is no server to send your cart to

Wallet, offers, per-store code history, settings and the run log live in your browser profile under five chrome.storage.local keys, plus a few session keys that hold the chase in progress. No account, no sign-in, no telemetry endpoint. Uninstalling the extension is a complete deletion.

Export or wipe it in one click

One JSON file holds your wallet, offers, code history, settings and run log. Read it, diff it, or erase everything from Options.

8
codes per chase by default, submitted one at a time
1.2s
between attempts, so a store never sees a burst
9s
settle timeout before an attempt is called unanswered
0
bytes of cart data sent anywhere, by default

Product limits and defaults, read from the extension itself: eight attempts at 1.2 seconds apart, a 9-second settle timeout, and no network request unless you configure a catalog URL. Chase Now collects no usage data, so there are no shopper totals to publish.

Carts

Works on the cart, not a list of shops

There is no per-store integration to go stale. The engine reads the DOM, finds the promo field (including inside iframes) and reads the total the same way you do. These are the kinds of checkout stack that expose a coupon field; the repository ships four static cart doubles, one of them deliberately hostile, that the engine is driven against by hand.

Who it is for

Built for people who check before they pay

Deal hunters

You already open three coupon sites before paying. Chase Now does the typing and tells you which one survived contact with the cart.

Up to 8 codes per chase

Points optimisers

Category multipliers, activated bank offers, quarterly 5% categories, all scored per cart instead of remembered wrong.

Wallet ranked in dollars

Families on a budget

Grocery pickup, pharmacy refills, back-to-school orders. Small discounts on repeat orders, checked the same way every time.

Twelve reward categories

Small-business buyers

Supplies, parts and software renewals. Export the JSON log when you need to show what a purchase actually cost.

Auditable code history

Built for people
who read the fine print

Eight design decisions we will not trade away, even when they cost us a revenue stream that every other coupon extension takes.

No affiliate link rewriting

Chase Now never swaps or injects referral parameters. It has no revenue reason to send you anywhere.

No card numbers, ever

A wallet entry is a nickname and the last four digits. There is nowhere to type a full PAN or CVV.

Four permissions, and no site access at all

storage, alarms, scripting and activeTab. Website access is optional and granted one store at a time, so a fresh install can read no page anywhere.

Manifest V3 service worker

No long-lived background page, no remote code execution, no eval of fetched scripts.

Deterministic attempt budget

Max attempts, delay and settle timeout are all yours to set. Nothing loops forever on a slow cart.

Stops by undoing its own work

Press stop and the code Chase Now submitted is removed again. A code you applied yourself is never touched, and if the store refuses to drop ours it says so instead of pretending.

Readable data files

Cards and categories are plain JSON bundled with the extension. The promo-code list is the part you can override, by pointing Options at a catalog URL of your own.

Portable by default

Export wallet, offers, code history, settings and the run log as one JSON file; wallet, offers, codes and settings import back. Your history is not a hostage to keep you installed.

How it works

Three minutes to set up, then it is invisible

1. Install, add a card, forget about it

Setup is one screen: pick your cards from the bundled catalog, paste in any bank offers you have activated. Auto-run stays off until you turn it on.

2. Enable the store, press Chase

Grant Chase Now access to that one storefront from the popup, then press Chase. The HUD shows every attempt live: code, result, and what the total did. Stop at any point and the code it applied comes back off.

3. Pay with the card it names

The best surviving code stays applied and the ranked wallet tells you what the purchase is worth on each card, in dollars.

Add to Chrome Auto-run is opt-in. Generic code guessing is opt-in too.
The Chase Now options page: auto-run and generic code toggles, maximum attempts set to 8, a 1200 millisecond delay between attempts, a 9000 millisecond settle timeout, a 21-day retry window, an optional remote catalog URL, and JSON export and import buttons.

What using it looks like

Written examples of how the extension behaves, not reviews from real customers. Chase Now has no Chrome Web Store listing yet, so there are no ratings or reviews to quote.

The per-store list is the part you end up living in: every code it tried, marked works, failed or unknown, with the date it was tried.

Activating a bank offer and then forgetting it is the normal failure mode. Record it once and the ranking counts it whenever the merchant matches and the offer is still live.

The network tab is the check that matters. With no catalog URL configured, a chase makes no outbound request at all.

The attempt cap is the part a store owner cares about: one code at a time, eight by default, 1.2 seconds apart, and it stops there.

A fresh install can read no website at all. You enable a store from the popup, and that grant is the only reason any Chase Now code runs on a page.

FAQ

The questions people actually ask

Is Chase Now affiliated with a bank or card issuer?
No. Chase Now Labs, Inc. is independent. The name refers to chasing down the best discount at checkout, and the bundled reward rates are a best-effort reference you can edit; always confirm terms with your issuer.
Does my cart or card data leave my browser?
No. The extension has no backend. Your wallet, recorded offers, per-store code history and settings are written to chrome.storage on your device. The only outbound request is the optional remote catalog URL you can set yourself, which is off by default.
Will trying codes get my account flagged by a store?
The engine is deliberately conservative: one code at a time, a default cap of eight attempts, 1.2 seconds between them, and a 9-second settle timeout. Generic guesses like WELCOME10 are off by default precisely because they burn attempts. You can lower every limit in Options.
How does it know a code actually worked?
It compares the order total before and after each attempt. A drop counts. So does a brand-new success message, or a new discount chip, that names the exact code it just submitted. That is how free shipping and gift-with-purchase are caught, and those are recorded with a zero discount amount. A code that changes nothing is recorded as failed. The best surviving discount stays applied; the rest are removed.
Which cards are supported?
Eighteen cards ship with reward defaults across twelve merchant categories (seventeen consumer cards and one small-business card) and you can add a custom card with your own multipliers and point value. Bank offers are entered by you: percent or fixed, with cap, minimum spend and expiry.
What does it cost?
Nothing. There is no paid tier, no affiliate rewriting and no data sale, see the Privacy Policy for the specifics of what is and is not collected.
Which browsers work?
Chrome 116 and later; that is the minimum_chrome_version the extension declares. There is no Firefox build and no separately tested build for other Chromium browsers yet.
